Mid
2002 Grant was researching the origins of the
internet and the direction this was currently
taking. Late 2002 Grant established a small firm
in conjunction with two partners providing advertising
space on behalf of other websites whilst maintaining
his banking career.
Having viewed the business potential of the internet Grant
continued his consideration of the future and purchased
the domain businessparc.com along with a small number of
complimentary domains with a view to having his own search
engine that would be more user-friendly and aimed at the
business market.
His idea was to position Businessparc.com as the
best business search engine and become the engine
of choice for professionals.
In the early stages of development Grant was in
conversation with Trevor Cryer a close friend and
MD of Web Geek Enterprises. Trevor did not see the
value of yet another search engine and questioned
the entire concept. He suggested a twist to the concept
to allow businesses the opportunity to bid for business
from users.
This was a
pivotal moment and changed the direction of Businessparc.
Grant took Trevor’s
input into consideration and merged it with his
original
concept to create the Businessparc.com proposition.
Businessparc.com
now offers users the ability to search the internet,
search a directory, post
projects
for bidding, send a single enquiry to all relevant
providers, gain email accounts “”,
and obtain hosting facilities.
This is just the beginning, if you like what you
see so far; just wait for the next phase!
